Online Reservation

General Policies

    §  Payment is due on arrival

    §  A personal details form should be filled in at check-in time. We reserve the right to ask for suitable ID and are at liberty to make a copy of your ID. Any such document will be securely destroyed upon your departure.

    §  A deposit is required to cover loss of keys, damage to property or additional laundry/cleaning costs should this be necessary.

    § In the event of a no show or cancellation within 72 hours of arrival time, your card will be charged for the full cost of the reservation period unless we are able to re-let the room - in which case you will be charged the full cost of 1 night's stay. However, you will be charged for the full cost of the reservation period if you need to depart/leave/check-out or are forcibly ejected from the premises earlier than scheduled.

    §  Cooking in the guest kitchen is not allowed after 7pm.

    §  Meals / snacks should not be eaten in the guestrooms. The dining room should be utilised for this purpose.

    §  Please remember the bathroom is shared so consider others before taking lengthy showers.

Cancellation Policy
A provisional booking will be held for 24 hours after the initial enquiry. We require 10% deposit as well as valid credit/debit card details to hold the booking after this period of time. No refund of deposit will be made in the event of cancellation unless re-booked at the time of cancellation, whence the refund amount will be applied against the new booking or parts thereof.

In case of cancellation within 3 days before check-in date, guests are responsible for the full cost of the booking for the reserved period unless the room is re-let. If guest are departing earlier than scheduled, the same cancellation policy applies.

We cannot take responsibility for loss caused by factors which are out of our control, such as disruption to timetables and ferry cancellations.

Payment Methods
Preferred payments are: Cash (Pound Sterling and Euro accepted at prevailing exchange rates, plus bank commision fees), bank transfers, postal orders, paypal (5% surcharge) and credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Solo, American Express and Discover). Credit and debit cards are accepted with a surcharge of 5% to cover processing and bank charges. With the exception of cash, all other payment methods need to have cleared into our bank account before commencement of your stay.

Check-in and Check-out
Rooms are usually ready by 1pm. Check-in is between 1pm and 2pm, unless you have let us know otherwise. You are welcome to check in earlier and leave your luggage. Rooms should be vacated by 11am on the day of your departure. You are able to leave your luggage to pick up later in the day, but this needs to be arranged with us at time of check-in.

Please note that it is very important to let us know of your approximate arrival time as there is not always someone at the property.

Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on our premises.

Any attempt to breach this regulation, either in your rooms or other common area, will result in a maximum spot fine of 150. We also reserve the right to ask you to vacate and leave the premises in such circumstances with no refunds or cash alternatives for any period of your booking. We may also call for Police assistance if required to enforce this policy.

Damages
Any damage caused to the property has to be reported to the us immediately. The guest will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any breakages, loss or damage to the property & furnishings, and will have to pay before departure or we reserve the right to charge this to your credit/debit card.

Low-alcohol Policy
Greenmount B&B is not a licensed premises and hence do not allow for the sale of alcohol on our premises. We are only able to condone light/moderate drinking within your rooms. We reserve the right to confiscate and destroy excessive amounts of personal alcohol if this is deemed necessary. We may also ask you to vacate and leave the premises if we deem it necessary with no refunds or cash alternatives for any period of your booking. We may also call for Police assistance if required.

The property offers a quiet, civilised atmosphere and this must be appreciated by our quests at all time. Guests are also requested to keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm.

Guest Responsibility
Cars are parked at owners risk. Make sure all doors are locked and valuables removed from display.

No responsibility is accepted by the proprietor for any loss, damage or injury to person or property.
